Winter Fun

Cold weather just won't stop us from a little outdoor fun! We had our 1st snow fall last week. It had been raining for 3 days, and started sleeting just as the kids were coming home on the bus. Well, before they could get off the bus, it changed to the biggest, fattest snowflakes. In no time, the ground was covered, so we slipped on our winterwear and headed out to play. The kids were thrilled to see it all still there when we woke up. They are used to dustings that disappear before you can get your gloves on. So no school for the kiddos, SNOW DAY!!! Just more snow playing, hot chocolate, and a lot of wet clothes for Mom. We headed that afternoon to Pigeon Forge for a little Christmas spirit at Dollywood. We stopped in Knoxville at one of our favorite spots & had yummy burgers with great friends on our way to the hotel. Dollywood always does a great job decorating the park with millions of lights, and we love the holiday shows. So, we all doubled up on layers, kept the hot chocolate coming, and enjoyed the Christmas sights.

Yeah! Our first snow day in Nashville.

Two of my little snow angels.
After everyone had given up outside, Parker kept working on his snowman.
Gretchen taking Dad for a little drive.
Dallin smiling at the top.
Gretchen helping Professor Seymour Tricks with a little "magic" at Dollywood.

Lucky! The fast-melting 1/2 inch is a total bummer.
