Towards middle of July, Richard received a promotion at work to Corporate Accounts. He is very excited about this new position, and according to the management psych testing he had done before the offer, it suites him well. We all know Rich could sell sunscreen to the eskimos, or anything else for that matter. We are VERY proud of him and his accomplishments.
BUT...with the promotion comes a relocation to Nashville. We are excited about this part as well, some family members more than others. We are in temporary housing for the moment while we sell/buy homes. So we are out to explore and make a new city home. Wish us luck!
Before we headed further west, we spent some time doing a few of our favorite things: splash Country, putt-putt, TN Smokies baseball game, Dixie Stampede, a couple dips in the pool, and more. We even got a visit from Grammer & Papa for Dallin's 10th birthday. We spent an extended weekend with them. Gretchen & I got to take Grammer to our favorite little tea room for lunch and did a little shopping. We went to the Great Smokie Mtns. and some "hiking", Richard style, to check out some original homesteads in the smokies. We pigged out at the Applewood Farmhouse, and more.

Good luck in your new place and congrats to Richard on his promotion. Sounds like you are making the adjustment well and will enjoy Nashville as much as you did Knoxville! I hope your move is smooth and uneventful!
I know you guys aren't sure about it but you should really put gretchen in pageants. They have them that you can NOT do makeup, overdone hair etc... you just have to look into it. She would be lethal in the pageant industry.

We had a great time for Dallin's birthday. No thoughts of Constrata & lots of bonding time with the Hopfers. Does it get better than that? lol We enjoy our day with the kids alone - the musuem was rocking - no really the floor rocked :) I can hardly wait to see Nashville - you have a great way of finding fun in a city. Plus Hannah & Naomi Judd in ice cream shops & resturaunts. cooool! Love you guys!!! Grammer

As you know parents get to hold a special pride (even if it is from a distance). We are sooooo proud of you & your accomplishments over the years. From little on we always knew you were heading for BIG things in your future. You've always set your goals high & you never let anything interfer. You have a lot of your Grandfather in you in that aspect.
You, Stacey & the kids are starting yet another chapter in the Chronicles of Hopfer. It should prove to be very exciting! Have fun & enjoy.
We never even made it out to visit you and now you're moving farther away! Congrats to Richard! We hope all goes well with the move. I can't get over the fifth grade sometimes. It's Lauren's 10th today and I'm in a bit of denial. :) Aren't you?
Congrats on all the new upcoming events. I don't think we are getting any older, I just think the kids are. Oh! the days of co-op preschool and play dates, with toddler and baby in tow! Good luck, moving is always an adventure! You guys are awesome!
