THEY SAY ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY....WELL, ITS MY BIRTHDAY TO YEAH!!
Yesterday we celebrated everyone's favorite valentine's 5th birthday, Miss Gretchen Abigail. We have had a rough week since 4 of the 5 of us has had the flu. BUT we had a reason to celebrate...our little princess turned 5 years old. Gretchen has a birthday party on Saturday with all her friends, but we of course have the family dinner, cake eating and present extravaganza on her actually birthday. She wanted Wok Hay, the local Asian restaurant, so we got take out to keep our germ spreading at a minimum. She chowed down on terryaki noodles & chicken, some yummy birthday cake and opened her presents from mom, dad, Dallin, Parker and all her fun grandparents. She loves horses, so we got her a couple more Breyer horses with riders, and a stable to keep them all in. (Dallin put the stable together and was having a blast "putting it together", he really enjoyed the fake horse droppings it came with). She also got a set of Furryville families and treehouse. They are these animal families: mom, dad, brother, sister dressed in clothes. Think dollhouse but with animal familes. She got bears, hippos, and cats. They have one at school, and she loves it. She got lots of sparkly lotions and gels from Grammer and Papa, and a wonderful a pink cap gun...nice one Mom, remind me to thank you later :) She got some birthday money, which she always hoards. When I asked her what she was going to get with her money, she said she did not know, but when we are in a store, she tells me to buy her something with MY money so she can save hers. HA! She had a great birthday, and this morning as Richard was getting ready to take her to school, (I am at home with Parker, we are both on quarantine) she asked if she was going to Kindergarten now. She is so excited to be in "real school" not preschool. She may rethink it when we go in for her kinderphysical?!? It was a fun birthday, and valentine's day. She had a great time, and was big smiles all day! Exactly what I like to see.

We are heart broken to miss the sous chef's birthday. It sounds like in spite of the flu fun was had by all. Did our little Gretchen love her pink gun?? it looked like her - pink but dangerous.
