Papa & Grammer came to visit for Gretchen's birthday, along with Dare & Ryan. However, Ryan & Richard had to work on Friday, so the kids & I took Papa & Grammer out on the town. The kids wanted to go to a museum, eat at Taco Bell, and go to the Dollar Store. Not to specific are they? We went to the Children's Museum in Oak Ridge (the town with the nuclear weapons storage facility). It is in an old elementary school, and was a lot of fun. They have several different exhibits in the museum, and each one of us had a favorite part. Even Papa enjoyed reading about the history of Oak Ridge, the gov't took some advantages with the workers. Grammer loved the antiques and collectibles in the life in the appalachains. The museum actually took down 4 old cabins/shacks from the mountains and rebuilt them inside the museum, and then filled them with items traditional to the time period. Very cool, even my materialistic, spoiled kids thought they had cool stuff in them. Gretchen loved the kid sized dollhouse, the boys loved the dam and lock systems, and I had fun just hanging out with my family having some fun!
